Sarah and Brian

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We want to start by telling you we cannot imagine the thoughts and feelings that you are currently going through. We hope you are able to find the path that will be best for you and your child.

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We want to start by telling you we cannot imagine the thoughts and feelings that you are currently going through. We hope you are able to find the path that will be best for you and your child.

Get to Know Us:

Our paths crossed while living in Louisville, Kentucky when we were set up by a friend in 2013. Brian’s friend intended to set him up with someone else; however, the friend ended up dating the girl himself. Feeling guilty, Brian’s friend let him know that there was a roommate, Sarah, and the rest is history. It was quickly apparent that Brian’s rational, laid-back personality paired well with Sarah’s outgoing, creative qualities. We spent lots of time doing things that we both still enjoy today such as traveling, camping, visiting breweries, family gatherings, and getting together with friends. We were married in 2017 and then moved into our home in southern Indiana. After years of infertility, we realized we had so much love to share, and adoption was our path to do so.

We love being in nature and going on hikes in nearby parks. Brian stops and looks at every bug and snake while Sarah is scared and running away. We both find fishing to be a fun pastime. Even though Brian is the experienced fisherman, Sarah loves to out fish him. We enjoy running, walking, hiking, and trail running. The past few years we have trained and ran the Louisville Derby Mini Marathon. We enjoy the competition and plan to continue running races.

Traveling has been a big part of our lives since getting married. We have been fortunate to explore Iceland, Mexico, Ireland, Amsterdam, Brussels, Costa Rica, Germany, and other parts of the United States. We want to continue traveling once our family expands and allow our child to see all that the world has to offer.

A little about Brian by Sarah:

Brian is thoughtful, patient, and kind. He is likely to be quiet and observant around new people, but those close to him know him as outgoing and the friend that would do anything to make someone happy. He is the planner in our relationship. He plans our traveling itineraries, weekends, and finances. His personality is extremely laid back, relaxed, and a procrastinator. He loves math and problem solving as an accountant, but he spends most of his time watching and playing sports, fishing, doing outdoor activities, going to concerts, and starting new hobbies. He is a big fan of volleyball which he still plays at least once a week. You can also find him watching every University of Louisville event, being an avid Cubs fan, and following his favorite football players Lamar Jackson, Teddy Bridgewater and really anyone on his fantasy football team. Brian is very much looking forward to being a father and sharing his activities and interests with his child. I know that whatever our future child has an interest in, Brian will go all out! His generous and loving nature will make him an excellent father.

A little about Sarah by Brian:

Sarah is compassionate, determined, and loving. She is an energetic but laid-back people-person. She always seems to have a positive and cheerful attitude. I know she brings all that energy into her 1st grade classroom, and she will do the same in motherhood. She enjoys taking time to relax, but she also likes keeping herself busy with projects. She loves spending time outdoors, baking and cooking, crocheting, running, and finding the perfect plate of nachos. Sarah has dreamed of being a mother and is looking forward to sharing her love and energy with a child. Sarah’s relaxed, caring, and naturally optimistic attitude will make her a wonderful mother.

Family and Friends:

We both come from large, German Catholic families that gather for pretty much everything. Brian is the oldest of three and his family lives in the area. Sarah is the youngest of three and her family lives a short drive away. Both of our parents are still happily married and proud to be grandparents to our nieces and nephews. We are currently aunt and uncle to seven nieces and nephews. Our families are overjoyed that we are hoping to adopt. We know that they will be there to help care for our child and to love them just like they were for us.

We are proud parents to our dog Holly. She is a four-year-old rescue dog that brings us lots of entertainment. Her personality is loving and energetic. She is fascinated by leaves blowing in the yard and sniffing every scent. Brian’s love for animals has also grown our family to be home to fish, and three terrariums full of frogs and lizards.

Friends have always been a big part of our lives. Friends are what drew us together and have kept us enjoying life. We love getting together at each other’s houses, meeting up at restaurants, or going to LouCity Soccer matches. We enjoy spending time with our friends’ children and gathering with them for annual Halloween and Kentucky Derby Parties.

Our Community:

Our home is located in a small quaint neighborhood near almost everything. We are a short drive from downtown Louisville where we enjoy the culture and experiences of a big city while living in a quiet neighborhood with big trees and surrounding golf course. We have friendly neighbors who are always waving as they walk by. There is a new park just a minute’s walk away and a delicious ice cream shop! Almost every weekend there is some sort of festival or farmers market to attend. Living close to a city has allowed us to enjoy music festivals on the river and the local sporting events.

Our Commitment:

We will be patient, loving, and open to not only the child we raise, but to you as well. We would love to have an open adoption and a relationship with you, if that is something you choose. We promise to be honest with you, raise your child with all the love we have to offer, and provide whatever will be best for your child.

Thank you again for taking the time to read our profile. If you would like to learn more about us, please email us at SarahAndBrianACFB@gmail.com or you can contact our adoption counselor, Linda Fiore by texting/calling (773-919-5702), or e-mail (Linda@centerforfamily.com).
