Lisa and Bryan

Dear Expectant Mother,

Hello!
We are Bryan, Lisa, and Mia. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We deeply respect your desire to find the right family to love and cherish your child. We will honor you by sharing the amazing love you have for him/her and your dream to give your baby an amazing life.

Bryan & Lisa:
We are a young (both 33), energetic, and loving couple that has been together 10 ½ years and married 6. We met through mutual friends while in college and fell in love right away. Starting a family didn’t come easy. Finally we were blessed with our daughter, Mia. Our lives changed forever! We couldn’t wait to share our love and fill our home with more kids. We began treatment for infertility and soon began talking about adoption; somehow adoption just felt right. We believe this was the journey our family was meant to take. A baby boy or girl would complete our family and make our dreams come true!

Bryan:
I like to think of myself as a passionate and kind father and husband. I grew up in a Chicago suburb with terrific parents and a younger brother. I had an adventurous childhood filled with camping, horseback riding, and tons of natural exploration. I studied accounting in college and received my Bachelors Degree. During college I met the love of my life, Lisa, and my life changed forever. Then, I got a great job in technology sales. I am happy with my current job, and proud to be able to provide my family with financial stability. As much as I enjoy my work, family come first and foremost in my life. The best part of my day is when I walk in the door and Mia runs to me and yells, “Daddy”. I love that I get a lot of family time. We dance, go to the park, play dress up, have tea parties, and so much more.

Lisa:
My friends describe me as an outgoing, patient, and caring person. I grew up in a Chicago suburb with my parents and two brothers. As kids we went on a lot of vacations, and many of those trips were spent at our family cottage in Michigan. Family vacations left me with lots of great memories and we are all still very close.

I have always loved kids and enjoyed helping others. My jobs while growing up reflect this passion, and included: babysitting, teaching at a daycare, and helping /handicapped children as a recreation leader.

After high school, I went to culinary school, but I had a strong desire to help others, so I went back to school for Elementary Education. That’s when I met Bryan. I fell in love and my family adored him, too. I knew he was the one for me!

After college, I taught 7th/8th grade English as a Second Language (ELL) for 6 years until my daughter was born. I took a year and a half off to be home with Mia, and then returned to teaching part-time actually have more days off than work days, so I get so much “mommy time”, and I cherish every minute we have together. I look forward to taking time off again when we adopt a baby.

Mia:
Mia is a fun, silly, kind, smart, and inquisitive three year old. She loves to color, dress up, make believe, have tea parties, build forts, dance and sing. Mia has a great imagination and asks lots of questions. She loves to play with her friends and cousins.

The block that we live on has over fifteen young children and they all play together. Cousin James is only 17 days older than Mia and they are best friends. She adores her younger cousins, too! She helps feed them, shares her toys, and gives lots of kisses. Last Christmas, Mia asked Santa for a baby brother or sister, and our hearts melted and sank at the same time. Mia will be an amazing big sister, and a great playmate! She is a happy child, enjoying every single day, and she can’t wait to have a baby brother or sister.

Parenting:
This is the best “job” we have ever had, and we couldn’t love being parents any more than we already do. Although parenting can be challenging at times, any difficult moments are quickly erased by a smile or a deep belly laugh. We think it is important for kids to have many experiences that encourage growth and learning, while having the best time ever! In our family, we kiss and hug and show affection and kindness. We always say I love you, and we mean it.

Home:
We love our neighborhood. . The schools are amazing, and the elementary school is across the street from our home along with a fantastic park. Our large fenced in yard has toys galore and supports hours of laughter and fun. The block parties are filled with kids laughing and playing together. The central foundation of our home is love, adventure and commitment.

Family:
We are blessed to have wonderful people in our lives that we call family!
We spend A LOT of time together. Our parents and siblings cannot wait to spoil another little one. Your child will be loved and cherished by everyone!

Our Hope:
We hope you find peace during this difficult time. Thank you for considering us as parents. We welcome the opportunity to talk with you and get to know you. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
