Hello!!

We are Amy & Rob. We cannot begin to understand the overwhelming feelings you must be having during this time; however, we do know the immense love you have for your child as you consider making an adoption plan. Our hope is that while you read our profile you get a sense of our family and the desire we have to grow our family through adoption.

Hello!!

We are Amy & Rob. We cannot begin to understand the overwhelming feelings you must be having during this time; however, we do know the immense love you have for your child as you consider making an adoption plan. Our hope is that while you read our profile you get a sense of our family and the desire we have to grow our family through adoption.
This Is Us

We met at a Cubs/Sox game in 2010 by chance. (We were parked next to each other.) We exchanged phone numbers, got to know each other, and began dating a few months later. We got engaged and married in 2019. (After a long courtship, a quick engagement seemed right!) Shortly after we got married, we decided to build our dream home where we hoped to grow our family.

Our home is in a suburb about an hour from Chicago in a diverse community. Our house sits on the end of a cul-de-sac that is a block from the neighborhood park and close to the elementary and middle schools. Shortly after we began building our home (January 2020) we found out we were pregnant and couldn’t have been happier as we always knew we wanted to have children to share our lives with. Our son Jackson (Sonny) was born in October of that year. Soon after having Sonny, it became clear that we would not be able to have another biological child and quickly knew for our family to be complete, adoption would be part of our path.

This Is Rob

Rob works as a chemical operator for a biopharmaceutical company. When Rob is not at work, he is home being the best dad and role model for Sonny. Rob’s work schedule allows him to have days off during the week and he and Sonny pal around all day while Amy works. In Rob’s spare time, he enjoys BBQing, working in the yard, working out, learning the guitar and drums, and during the warmer months he enjoys an occasional motorcycle ride with his friends. Rob is a loving, caring, compassionate, funny guy. He is one of the best dads around.

This Is Amy

Amy works from home full time as an account manager for an insurance company. One of Amy’s favorite things is to watch and hear (from her office) Sonny and Rob playing and having a good time together while she works. Amy absolutely adores being Sonny’s mom. When Amy is not working, she can be found playing, reading, or singing/dancing with Sonny. In her spare time, she likes to read, cook, bake, listen to true crime podcasts, go to the gym and play volleyball. Amy is loving, caring, compassionate, funny, trustworthy, and loyal. Amy’s loving, patient, and playful way makes her one of the best moms.

This Is Sonny

Sonny is a happy, loving, adorable, carefree toddler. He loves to read. He also loves the quality time he gets with his grandmas while they care for him when Mom and Dad are both working. He loves playing with his cousins and friends, whether they are younger or older than him, as long as they like to play with trucks and be outside! We can’t wait to watch him be the best big brother.

This Is What We Do

We love spending time with our families and friends. We enjoy Sunday dinners with extended family, holiday traditions, or simply spending the day hanging out. Rob’s mom, older sister, younger brother, and extended family all live within 15 minutes of us. Amy’s parents and extended family also live 30 minutes away. Amy’s brother and his family live in Michigan but visit frequently. We love being aunt and uncle to our two nieces and two nephews and our parents can’t wait for another grandchild!

We love live music, both going to concerts on date nights and taking Sonny to see local musicians at family friendly outings. We enjoy going to sporting events and are looking forward to sharing these experiences and making family memories with our children in the future.

We love to travel and explore new places! We travel with our family, and sometimes our extended families and friends. We love the beach! Some of the places we have been include the Dominican Republic, Disney World, Mexico, Nashville and Gatlinburg, and various cities in Texas. Amy has extended family in the Houston area, and we try to get together with them at least once a year. We hope to pass our love of spending time with family and friends, music, sports, travel and so much more onto Sonny and his sibling(s)!
