Tiffany and Jason

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to consider adoption and for reading our profile. We are truly honored to share a glimpse of our lives with you — our relationship as a couple, who we are as individuals, and our loving circle of family and friends. We know this is an emotional journey, and while words will never fully capture our gratitude, please know that the possibility of becoming parents through adoption means more to us than we can express.

Our Relationship

We’ve been together for thirteen years and married for eleven of them. Our story began on Match.com, where we spent about a month texting and talking before finally deciding to meet in person—despite living an hour apart. For our first date, Jay invited Tiffany over for dinner and a movie. It sounded like a simple plan… until the grill ran out of propane, a storm rolled in, and the power went out! Even with all that, it turned into an unforgettable night—one filled with laughter and a spark that’s never faded. Our early days were full of campfires, long talks, and cozy nights cuddling. In October 2012, we got married in a small church in Tiffany’s hometown in Indiana, surrounded by the people we love.
We’ve been through a lot together since those early days, and our bond has only grown stronger. Jay works as a truck driver, and Tiffany is the director of a library. While we both work hard, we make sure to find time to enjoy life and recharge. We love camping, boating, and spending time with family, friends, and their “babies” (some people call them dogs!). One of our favorite mottos is: “Husband and wife, camping partners for life.” It pretty much sums us up perfectly.
Adoption has always held a special place in our hearts—especially since Jay was adopted. We dreamed of growing our family for many years but faced challenges. When Tiffany was a child, she battled cancer and lost both of her adrenal glands. She’s now in great health, but those early medical challenges made it difficult to have a child. After more than a decade of trying, and Jay witnessing many tears, Jay introduced adoption as an option. Becoming parents is something we’ve both longed for, and we are now eagerly waiting to welcome a child into our lives with.

Meet Jay (written by Tiffany)

My husband is fun, loud, and full of energy — a kid at heart who loves to live in the moment. He’s funny, mechanically gifted, and has a great memory. We truly make a team. He’s the one who takes out the trash, helps with dishes (because I really don’t like doing them), and takes care of our vehicles, camper, and boat. Lately, he’s been taking care of our dogs at night when he’s home, practicing for those middle-of-the-night baby duties ahead!

Jay has been driving trucks for over 15 years. His favorite thing to drive, however, is our camper to Lake Shelbyville in Illinois. When we’re camping, you’ll usually find him doing one of two things: giving family and friends rides on the lake or being king of the grill. He’s always cracking jokes and making us smile but knows when it’s time to be serious.

Meet Tiffany (written by Jason)

My wife is fun, honest, reliable, and creative. She’s always thinking ahead and keeps life organized with plenty of lists (because she admits she can be a bit forgetful!). She works about 35 hours a week and balances that with grocery shopping, doing dishes when she has to (usually when I’m not home), laundry, cooking (she makes the best tacos!), taking care of our dogs, and other household duties.

She’s the director of a small-town library in her hometown, and she truly loves her job and the community she serves. Some of her favorite programs to run are Storytime and Gingerbread House Decorating. We even donate prizes for the monthly Bingo or Bunco events. After work, you’ll often find her cuddled up on the couch with our “babies” (the dogs) listening to audiobooks. When she has free time, she enjoys hunting for good deals, hanging out around the campfire, and spending time at the lake.

Home and Our family

We live in a small ranch home on 3 acres in the country. Tiffany’s parents live next door on 24 wooded acres. One of the ways we bonded was both being from the country. This is one of the things we valued from our childhood and cannot wait to raise our children with these values. Tiffany’s dad has been putting trails in the woods for walking and riding on the golf cart. Someday we hope to have a power wheel trail to grandma and grandpa’s house.

Our house features an open concept, allowing us to have holidays with the family and everyone in the same room. It also makes it easy for Tiffany to cook while Jay plays with Chop, Batman, and D. The dogs were all adopted from the Human Society and love being able to run around outside and in. When looking outdoors, wildlife comes close, giving a view of squirrels, birds, deer, and even a wild turkey or two.

Camping feels like our home away from home. Many of our friends and relatives enjoy camping, and we get together with them whenever we can. Jay’s parents started the family tradition of camping. Jay’s sister, brother-in-law, and niece also join us, along with many friends we consider family. Our campsites are usually filled with people, laughter, and delicious food.

Our Hope

We can’t wait to become parents! We look forward to every step of this journey and are ready to dedicate our lives to caring for and loving your child. Watching them grow is the part we are most excited about, and if you choose, we would love for you to share those milestones with us.

We eagerly anticipate hearing their first “mama” or “dada,” reading to them, and playing together. Jason is already looking forward to teaching them to drive and has even started checking out toys. We want to be there for every part of parenting—even the challenging moments like sleepless nights, crying, and dirty diapers.

Thank you so much for considering our family. We’d love to answer your questions, get to know you, and hear your story. Please feel free to contact us [email protected].
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
