We’re Demetrios and Stacey, and we’re incredibly grateful that you’re taking the time to get to know us. Hopefully, you’ll give us the chance to get to know you, too!
We’re deeply humbled that you’ve taken the first steps in your adoption journey. We firmly believe that placing a baby for adoption is a courageous and loving decision. You already have our admiration and respect, and we don’t even know you yet.
We know that you have many options before you and it likely hasn’t been an easy road to get here. Please know that should you choose us, we will spend the rest of our lives unconditionally cherishing your child. Our hope is that by the end of this book, you’ll see us not so much as strangers, but as two genuinely good people you’d like to get to know. And after time, hopefully, a family with whom you can imagine your sweet baby thriving.
We have been together for nearly 15 years. Like many couples, we met on a dating website and fell madly in love. Our greatest wish is to share and expand our love by creating a family together. We have prayed for a child for many years now, and thanks to our faith have hope that our prayers will be answered through the miracle of adoption.
We have both been incredibly blessed to be raised by wonderful parents in loving homes, given life’s most amazing opportunities. We want nothing more than to provide that same kind of life for a child; a life centered on values, tradition, family, education – with plenty of room for fun, adventure, laughter and all the dreams our hearts can hold.
Adoption is very dear to us, we have many friends and colleagues who have grown their families through the gift of adoption.
I grew up in the Chicago suburbs in a very loving family. I have two brothers and one sister. As a child I was involved in many activities, including sports, playing at the park, and spending fun time with cousins.
I graduated from Lincoln Technical College. I am a senior truck account manager and train all new employees. Working out, listening to music, going to the movies, bike riding, and volunteering are just a few things that I enjoy. I am incredibly eager to include a child in our lives.
Both of our families are a big part of our lives. We come from very traditional families with households full of love. Our parents adore their children and grandchildren. They are excited to welcome another grandchild. Both sets of grandparents are retired and live in either Greece or Florida and we talk to them frequently. Stacey’s brother Lee and sister-in-law, Chrissy, live in Chicago. They have one child, Daniel who is three years old, quite cute, very active, and just waiting for a new cousin.
Demetrios’ brother, George, and sister, Toula live in California. Toula is married to Justin and they have Chris, Anna, and Alexandra. Demetrios also has a brother who lives in Greece with his family. Demetrios has close extended family that live nearby. All of his family is eager to welcome a baby into our lives.
