For nearly 30 years, Adoption Center for Family Building has been providing adoption services to birth parents and hopeful adoptive families as a licensed non-profit adoption agency. Many clients we work with – both birth parents and adoptive parents –face financial barriers on their adoption journey. Our goal is to make services accessible to hopeful adoptive families and support birth parents making the selfless choice to place their child for adoption. We need your help to do that.
Our 2024 Gala is coming up on November 9th, 2024. This year, we’re hosting a Havana Casino night featuring casino-style games, silent auction, raffles, music, and more! Proceeds from this event will go towards supporting our birth parents and will make adoption more accessible for relative caregivers.

How Your Support Helps
Many birth parents we work with experience financial crisis. Through our Emergency Fund for Pregnant Women and Their Children, ACFB provides financial assistance and counseling, ensuring that their basic needs are met during the pregnancy and shortly after birth.
ACFB also works with many families who are raising a relative’s child. Their hope is to adopt, providing the child with a permanent and stable home; but many are unable to afford all of the fees that come with adoption. Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we are able to subsidize home study fees for these families, ensuring that they are able to adopt and provide a lifelong, loving homes for the children in their care.
Your support provides the following assistance:
- $40 gift cards for maternity clothes
- $100 for a 30-day bus pass or Uber gift card for prenatal visits
- $150 for one month of utilities
- $250 subsidizes the cost of a home study for a relative adoption
- $500 for one month of food and personal items for a family of 3
- $1,200 for rent, utilities, and food for a month
- $2,000 ensures two months of living expenses
Each donation, no matter the amount, can have a tremendous impact on parents considering an adoption plan for their child and on relatives hoping to provide a permanent, loving home for a family member through adoption.
