Amanda and Bobby

Dear Expectant
Mother,,

We are honored that you’ve taken the time to read our profile. We hope it offers you a glimpse into our lives and the kind of loving, supportive parents we strive to be. We can only imagine the strength it takes to face the decisions before you, and we respect the courage and love behind them. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for considering us as part of your journey and for giving us the opportunity to share our story with you.

About Us

We first met in Boston while Amanda was completing an internship for her psychology program. Being new to the city and not knowing many people outside of work, she decided to give online dating a try. At the same time, Bobby was working two jobs while finishing college, which didn’t leave much time for a social life—so he turned to online dating too. Looking back now, we’re amazed at how many small decisions and moments had to align perfectly for us to meet. We’ve been together for 12 wonderful years and have been married for the past 7.
One of the things that brought us together was our shared love of sports. We especially enjoy soccer, basketball, and football, and going to games has become one of our favorite things to do together. Lately, we’ve been attending Indiana Fever and Chicago Red Stars games more often—it’s such a fun way for us to spend time together.
We also love to travel and try to explore somewhere new at least once a year, even if it’s just a long weekend getaway. Visiting family and friends is important to us, so we make regular trips to Indianapolis and Boston to stay connected to the people we love.
Today, we live in Schererville, a suburb in Northwest Indiana, about an hour from Chicago. We’re in our mid-thirties and own a cozy home that we’ve made our own over the years. One of our favorite things about our neighborhood is that we’re right next to a park and a beautiful trail—it’s perfect for long walks and bike rides.
We also enjoy our own hobbies. Amanda is a passionate reader who can finish a book in no time. She loves true crime documentaries and indulges in the occasional reality show for fun. Bobby is a self-proclaimed nerd who’s into all kinds of video and board games. He also has a background in theater and prefers a great movie or live play.

Bobby

While living in Boston, I had just about given up on meeting someone—but decided to give it one last try. That’s when I met Bobby. He stood out right away. Unlike everyone else suggesting a quick coffee or drink, he offered to pick me up for our first date. He showed up at my door, opened the car door for me, and took me out to dinner and a movie. From that night on, everything just clicked—and the rest, as they say, is history.

Bobby has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and currently works as a safety and security supervisor at a Ford factory. But beyond his job, what truly defines him is his heart. He’s one of the kindest, most gentle, and caring people I’ve ever met. He’s steady, reliable, and deeply loving—a partner I can always count on.

We both value people, kindness, and staying true to ourselves. We respect each other’s choices and lift one another up. At home, we’re always laughing, being silly, and finding joy in the everyday moments. We share many hobbies and love discovering new things together. I have no doubt that, if given the chance, Bobby will be an incredible father. He has so much love to give and will pour his heart into building a strong, nurturing relationship with our child.

Amanda
(written by Bobby):

After coming across Amanda’s online profile, I spent way too much time trying to craft the perfect opening message. After hours of brainstorming, the best I came up with was: “If you could own and train a dinosaur as a pet, which would you choose?” Miraculously, she responded—and I’ve been grateful ever since.

Amanda is the most incredible person I know. She has a master’s degree in school psychology and works with children, helping to identify learning disabilities and emotional challenges so they can get the support they need. Her compassion and commitment to her work say so much about who she is.

She’s smart, hilarious, beautiful, and endlessly kind. Amanda has a magnetic energy that lights up every room she walks into. We both love to laugh, and no matter how tough a moment may be, she finds a way to bring humor and light into it. She truly is my other half—and I can’t imagine life without her.

I know deep in my heart, that if given the chance, Amanda will be an extraordinary mother. Every part of who she is—her warmth, her strength, her empathy—points to the kind of parent who will love deeply, guide patiently, and celebrate a child for exactly who they are.

Our Families

Amanda is the oldest child and has two younger sisters (Sarah and Kathryn) and a younger brother (Jack). Both her parents as well as all her siblings live in or around Indianapolis. Bobby by contrast is an only child. He grew up in Massachusetts where his parents still live. He also has a large extended family with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Everyone on both sides of the family have been nothing short of amazing in their support in getting ready to welcome a new addition to our lives.

Our immediate family, however, is limited to our two adopted cats Sophie and Ellie. We adopted Sophie from the shelter as an older cat. After losing her previous owner, she was abandoned and eventually rescued from life on the streets. This is to everyone’s benefit as she is incredibly smart and would probably be running an organized crime ring by now. We can’t prove it but we swear she understands English fluently.

Ellie was adopted from the same shelter as Sophie shortly after as a kitten. She had a rough start in life due to needing surgery that was impacting her balance. This experience left her kind of shy and a bit of a scaredy cat. She also acts like a princess and uses her charming good looks to manipulate you into giving her whatever she wants. They are both incredibly sweet and will be the best first pets any child could hope for!
