We are truly honored that you are reviewing our profile. Considering adoption must be the hardest decision of your life. Your story is truly one of courage and love. We would like to offer you a promise (or two). We promise to completely give ourselves to your child and hold no love back. We are so excited to welcome a child into our family and we will forever feel that your child is a blessing.
We are a young couple who have shared some of the absolute best times but have also encountered some hard challenges as a couple. We can honestly say that the challenge of being unable to have a child ourselves has made us a stronger team and provided us a greater appreciation for all of the good things in our lives. Now our journey has led us to you.
You deserve to know what type of life your child will have as a part of our family. You also deserve to be a part of that life, and that leads us to our second promise. We promise to be true to you. Your child will always know where he or she came from and you will never be a mystery. We only want to do what’s best for your child, and that includes honoring our relationship with you.
We met five years ago through a mutual friend, and we have been inseparable ever since. A year after we met we were engaged and then the year after that we were married. We bought our first home about a year after that and since then have been enjoying completing various projects around our home. We live in a small friendly community and enjoy going for walks and bike rides on all of the local trails sometimes ending up at our favorite local ice cream place!
We just love spending time together whether it is traveling or just relaxing on our front porch or in front of our fireplace. We make a point to go on at least one trip a year with our family and then one trip with just the two of us. In the time we have been together we have traveled to many places and plan to continue this with our future family.
Family is very important to us. We try to see both of our families as much as possible. We enjoy large family dinners and trips every chance we get. When our families are together. We compete in friendly competitions whether it is card games or board games, anything that allows us to be together, talk, laugh and have fun. Even though not all of our family is close in proximity, we remain close in spirit and make the most of the time we have together.
Katie was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is an all-around Wisconsin sports fan! She comes from a large Irish-Sicilian Catholic family who all live VERY close to each other. She is the oldest of three with a younger brother and sister. Katie’s family participates in many traditions like making homemade ravioli and pasta every year, baking large quantities of cookies for special events and preparing traditional foods. Her family can hardly wait to welcome their first grandchild into their lives.
Katie graduated from University of Wisconsin with a Master’s degree in speech and language pathology. She works as a speech pathologist at a local hospital where she treats patients throughout all stages of life starting at birth to end of life care.
Craig about Katie
Katie is amazing! She is a naturally loving person who always puts the interests of others above her own. She is the first person friends and family call when they need someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on. She has a love of helping people and that is reflected in every aspect of her life. Her career choice comes as no surprise since it allows her to spend her days providing therapies to people that are truly in need. She has a strong motherly instinct and children are instantly drawn to her. She is one of the strongest people I’ve ever met, even though she might try to tell you different. It’s also just really easy to have fun with her. Katie will be an incredible mom and I truly cannot wait for that day to come.
Craig is originally from Belleville, Illinois, which comes with the pleasure of being a St. Louis Cardinals fan! Craig is the youngest of four with two older brothers and one older sister. He has two nieces and two nephews who are anxiously awaiting another cousin to play with. Grandma and grandpa are also so excited for another grandchild to spoil. Craig graduated with a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Northern Illinois University. He works as a product development engineer for a local manufacturing company and in his free time he enjoys any type of home improvement project.
Katie about Craig
Craig is a goof ball! He finds a way to make me laugh and smile every day and brings so much joy to my life. Craig is the kind of person everyone hopes to have in his or her life because he is genuine and has such a big heart. He is also optimistic, easy going and patient. He lives each moment to its fullest and doesn’t worry about unnecessary things. He is a kid at heart, which is likely why the children in our lives gravitate toward him. They all love to play with and climb on Craig! He is a self-proclaimed handy man, which has allowed him to design and create beautiful things around our home (with my assistance holding things of course!) Craig is going to be the most amazing dad. He will be loving, patient and will teach our future child how to fix anything!
