Hello! We’re Angie and Kenny. We admire your strength and courage as you consider adoption for your baby. It is a selfless decision and we would be honored to be chosen as the family for your child.
Adoption is very important to us and we hope to give you a view of what life would be like with our family. We want you to know that we do not take adoption lightly. From the beginning of our relationship we discussed adoption as an option to grow our family. Unfortunately, we have been unable to have a child ourselves. Yet, we passionately believe we are meant to raise children. We deeply desire to adopt.
We love and respect each other and are ready to be parents. We will raise our children with unconditional love and support. We will encourage them and provide them with all the opportunities we can, including building a personal faith with God, being involved with others in our community, and fulfilling their dreams as they grow. But most importantly, we will give our children the greatest gift –all the LOVE in our hearts.
We have known each other most of our lives, but didn’t start dating until 2009. We have been happily married for over three years. Kenny works as an IT administrator for our local Catholic Church and School system. He loves the daily challenges of his job and working with the staff and students. Angie works as a buyer for a small, family-friendly company. Angie plans to be a stay at home mom when our child arrives.
Our tradition is to spend most holidays with family. And Christmas is a favorite. At home we go a little over board by decorating three Christmas trees and putting a light show programmed to music on the front of the house! We enjoy seeing the joy of all the families who stop and watch.
We love to travel and experience new cultures and hope to continue to share this with our family. We’ve traveled to Germany, Australia, Canada, Dominican Republic, Austria, France, and Italy. But a favorite vacation spot for us is the beach at Gulf Shores, Alabama where we can just kick back and relax. We are excited to show our children the laid back lifestyle of the beach where a day is spent playing in the sand and splashing in the water.
Angie on Kenny:
Kenny is a very outgoing and loves to be around people. He is a kind and supportive husband and has always encouraged me. He has been nothing very supportive in this long adoption process. With the ups and downs we have experienced, he has helped me to realize that there is always a positive side to things and not to worry about the small stuff!
Kenny and I have very similar views on family, politics, and other significant issues and are both pretty laid back. He is patient and considerate and will demonstrate these traits with our children. He is also very generous with his time and talents. He loves to build and fix things from computers to household things and enjoys helping others do this too. He has remodeled every room in our house. He always enjoys having a project to work on. I know he is looking forward to teaching and guiding our children. Kenny also loves the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues, cooking, and traveling.
Kenny on Angie:
Angie is very thoughtful and caring. When it comes to family, they are her top priority. I know she will provide everything she possibly can for our child. We enjoy watching movies, visiting with family and friends, or just taking a walk together. We both come from families that encouraged strong moral values. Angie is more of an emotional and caring person, especially when it comes to family and I, on the other hand, am the more logical one. Angie’s loves cooking for others, reading, painting, planting her flowers, and traveling.
We both come from large loving families. Angie is one of eight and Kenny one of four! We feel we are who we are because of our parents, siblings, and extended family. We can’t wait to bring a child into this very noisy, very loving, and supportive group. We spend a lot of weekends together just enjoying each other’s company, playing with the kids, cooking out, or helping one another with projects.
Many weekends we gather at Grandma and Grandpa’s farm to help them out as the kids jump on the trampoline, swing on the swings, fish at the pond, swim in the pool, or explore the barnyard with their cousins. Another favorite activity is babysitting our nieces, nephews, or friends’ kids or attending their games and activities. No matter what we do together, we always make it fun. There are 24 eager cousins waiting to welcome our child!
Home and Community
We live in a small community in Central Illinois in a quiet subdivision on the edge of town. We are active in our church and community. We have been busy remodeling our four bedroom home to make plenty of room for a growing family. Our house sits on a spacious lot with a big yard for children to run and play. Our neighborhood is very child friendly and there are always children playing in the yards. We are ready to fill our house with tons of toys and our yard with a swing set and sandboxes.
Our promise to you
To read to your child,
To get down on the floor and play with your child,
To encourage your child in all he/she does,
To teach and guide your child,
To kiss away tears and boo boos,
To talk and listen to your child,
To love your child unconditionally,
To always provide your child a loving and happy home,
